Best Futures Got Talent - Christmas Edition

We love celebrating pupil’s talent here at Best Futures, and what better way than a talent show!

With such a variety of performances from singing, dancing, Dragon Ball Z actions, expressive reading and comedy jokes, it’s been a very exciting time.

Pupils were able to show their amazing listening skills, supporting each other by clapping along and cheering for their friends.

One pupil sang ‘Shine bright like a diamond’ and at the end, a pupil from the audience said it made them “feel so happy I could cry”. Friends supporting each other, it’s been a joy to witness the positivity and friendships grow this year and culminate in today’s talent show.

One pupil did some expressive reading, showing their fluency, expression and characterisation. Giving a short explanation before reading a page from “The Awful Aunty” by David Walliams, the pupil read aloud with lovely timing, volume and speed. The difference from when they started at Best Futures is incredible, Treetops staff recalled when the pupil wasn’t able to recognise the first letter of their name, and now reading full pages aloud with confidence, it was a wonderful moment to cherish.

It would be rude not to share a joke or two with you all so here we go...

Why was the Christmas Ornament so good at math? do you call a snow man with a six pack?

...

Because it was very “tree”-mendously smart!

What do reindeer hang on their Christmas trees?

...

Hornaments!

Such excitement leading up to our Christmas Nativity, we can’t wait for the parents and carers to see what the pupils have been practicing for. For some of our pupils, this will be their first time they’ve been included in a Christmas Nativity, and for the parents, the first time they get to see their child up on the stage singing along, we are all very excited indeed.
